About This Project

For us the aesthetics was obvious from the beginning: The garage would not only work as an equipped workshop but also a vehicle exhibition space.

Inspired by warehouses, the volumetric is simple and is consisted by a rectangular volume. The graphic from the inside of the building is also present on the outside. Large white surfaces contrasting with the charcoal metallic structure, louvers and details. The louvers play an important part, they block excessive sunlight and also can open up, creating large openings for the vehicles to enter and exit the space.

The roof’s metallic spans come between the skylights. Ventilation is important for mechanical workshops, and the skylights apart from letting enough light in, also they provide constant flow of air and work as thermal chimneys, letting the hot air escape from above.
